Looking for that spark of imagination in your writing? Trying to bring your monster of a play to life? Despondent over the fact that no one will recognize your crazed genius?
Do not despair! The Mad Scientist’s Guide To Playwriting might just be the formula to make your nefarious plans come true.
A plan, a play, and production!
The Theatre at St. Claude is proud to offer an eight session class that will jumpstart your writing, help you finish that tricky project, and give you the public presentation that has eluded you.
Instructor Jim Fitzmorris (Truckload of Ink, Be A New Orleanian, and The Killing of a Lesbian Bookie) takes you into his laboratory of ideas and experiments to help you sharpen your writing, create a spooky monologue for full production, and complete a ten-minute play.
Beginning September 19th and continuing every Monday from 7 pm to 9pm until November 21st, The Mad Scientist’s Guide To Playwriting will include a Halloween weekend performance of the monologues from the class entitled “Tiny Tales of Terror” and a final reading of every student’s play with professional actors and directors.
And it’s just 300 dollars.
Registration is open until September 18th, but the class is limited to 15 and some spots have already been filled.
